In 1866 Mary Baker Eddy was instantly healed of a life threatening injury, and whilst reading in her Bible of a healing performed by Jesus, she glimpsed the eternal and unchanging law of God.  Convinced that God had healed her, she spent the next three years searching the Scriptures to  understand the principles behind her healing.  This led her to write Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures so that anyone seeking Truth can learn more of the all-loving and ever present God.  As divine Principle, God operates through timeless, spiritual laws of absolute good and understanding these laws enables us to prove them in changing and fulfilling lives - morally, spiritually and physically.

Like other Christian faiths, Christian Science is based on the Bible and, in particular, on the words and works of Christ Jesus.  Christian Scientists also pray the Lord’s Prayer, turning to God, divine Love, to learn more of His power and presence and to listen to His direction.  The prayer that affirms and understands God’s allness and goodness, is a powerful healing force.

Christian Science
